Embracing Enlargement, Part 3

Let us remember that it is God who wants to enlarge us. He wants to enlarge us for His purposes. The Lord has a plan of keeping breaking us out of our confined spaces, to allow for the bigness of who He is to impact, increase and influence our world!

Culture cannot and should not determine our ability to see the plans that God has. Our churches cannot and should not be held back from experiencing the full capacity of the kingdom. Our comfort levels cannot and should not keep us from living lives that expand beyond our dreams and imaginations.

The world we live in needs a church that can believe that God is bigger than the circumstances it faces. A church that is bold enough to ask for and embrace its territory being enlarged.

These are more ideas on embracing enlargement:

Jeremiah 17:5-8

This is what the Lord says:

“Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord. 6 That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. 7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.

8 They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

Celebrate the little victories

  • “WORD”

Have a theology that ALLOWS for hardship!!

Not allowing our circumstances to determine our theology but our theology to determine our circumstances!!

Live by REVELATION & not just by OBSERVATION!!

Is 11:2…

“The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him–

-The Spirit of WISDOM and

-The Spirit of COUNSEL and

-The Spirit of KNOWLEDGE and

-Of the FEAR of THE LORD–

-And he will delight in the fear of the Lord.”

EXPERIENCE is not necessarily wisdom from heaven!!

  • “WALK” Power

STAYING the course

Galatians 6:9…Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

7)”CONTACT” (Influence)

Matthew 5:13

13 “You ARE the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

Salt is useless if it’s still in the shaker!!

…A desire for Him

…Desire for the things of God

Phil 3:10…

“I want to know Christ, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, …becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Paul’s desire to know Christ more fully had at least 4 facets:

-A “PERSONAL” experience: “that I may know Him”

-A “POWERFUL” experience: “and the power of His resurrection

-A “PAINFUL” experience: “and the fellowship of His suffering”

-A “PRACTICAL” experience: “becoming like Him in His death”

COMPASSION will cure more sins than CONDEMNATION!!

10) “COPE”

Someone said, ‘To AVOID criticism…do nothing, say nothing and be nothing of great’. significance!!
